Houhai åæµ·; HòuhÇi is a man-made lake surrounded by restaurants and bars. Some years ago, this was one of the trendiest places in town, but it seems that it has now been surpassed by other bar clusters. Still a good place for a beer, and also to watch local Beijingers of all ages enjoying themselves.
Shi Yue
Unusual and small place in a quiet hutong. Chinese decoration and techno music.
Upsetter's Bar
Reggae bar with outdoor seating by the water. One of the few places in Houhai where the theme actually works.
