Fuerth has much to offer when it comes to shopping. There are department stores and small shops scattered around downtown, but since downtown in so small, they are all a short walk away from one another. There is also an air-conditioned shopping mall, which is uncommon throughout Europe, called City Center Fürth. It is located on the FuÃÂgängerzone pedestrian zone. On the FuÃÂgängerzone you will also find many local shops ranging from antiques to groceries. Many locals buy their fruits, vegetables, and different types of cheese at the local Open-air market located on the Fuerther Freiheit just a short walk from the main train station and the FuÃÂgängerzone.

Souvenirs and postcards are not so easy to come by in Fuerth. But, you will find a small selection in the local Tourism Office across the street from the Main train station. Otherwise, you will just have to look around in all the little shops for anything you might like.
