Selinsgrove

A car or bike is the recommended way to see and do things in the Selinsgrove area. Once you venture out of the small boro, there are no sidewalks. There are no safe bike paths -- Although there used to be bike paths that would take you from the Isle of Que to Shamokin Dam, but these have since become overgrown. The shoulders of the roads are narrow and often unkept. Skeleton service is provided by the Union-Snyder Transportation Alliance via bus, but these buses must be notified and will only pick up customers who call ahead of time. Rides are based on distance from starting point to ending point. Selinsgrove is also served lightly by taxi service but, like the buses, these must be called ahead of time. The local Yellowpages will have the number for both the bus and taxi services throughout the area.
