The Springfield Mass Transit District operates local mass transit as well as paratransit, Access Springfield, six days per week, Monday-Saturday, except major holidays. 17 fixed routes cover the city, including the Historic Sites route, which serves tourist destinations. After 6PM, Routes 901-904 cover the city on an hourly basis. Currently the system is seeing major changes, so watch the website for daily changes and fares.
