On the north side of town, is a modern outdoor shopping center with restaurants, retail, and a movie theater.
The Historic Lansing City Market
Is located near downtown on the grand river. in the summer, many flowers are available for purchase. vendors sell everything from cheese to home beer making kits inside the market.
Frandor Shopping Center
Is located between grand river and michigan ave on the east side of lansing. it is one block east of freeways us-127 and i-496. there are major retail stores and many smaller stores.

Meridian Mall
Is a large indoor shopping mall in meridian township. there are many large stores around meridian mall on grand river avenue, east of lansing near okemos.
Washington Avenue is the main strip in downtown Lansing with numerous small retailers and restaurants. Michigan Avenue runs from the foot of the Michigan State Capital to downtown East Lansing. That stretch offers many small shops, restaurants, and bars. Grand River Avenue runs from the heart of downtown Detroit, through Lansing, East Lansing, and ends in Grand Rapids. In Lansing, Old Town has many shops, restaurants, bars, and numerous art galleries, densely packed on Grand River Avenue. In East Lansing, downtown is on the north side of Grand River Avenue and the MSU Campus is on the south side. Meijer is the major Michigan grocery retailer. Multiple Meijer stores can be found throughout the Lansing-area.
