Pearl Hunting

San angelo is known for what is called concho pearls. there are 12 different varieties. they are found in freshwater mussel shells which live in the area lakes and rivers of san angelo. they can be pink, purple and lavender pearls. so if you feel adventurous go out and see if you can find some pearls.
