Access Permits
Access to the town itself and the surrounding area is restricted as per the Namibian Diamond Act and a Restricted Area Permit is required by anyone wishing to visit.These permits may be obtained from Namdeb Security Department's Permits Office at Oranjemund, â +264 063 23-6101 +264 (063 23-6100, fax: +264 063 23-6104). edit
Visitors may not apply for permits themself, a resident or tour operator residing in Oranjemund needs to do this on behalf of the visitor. All visitors over the age of 18 will be subjected to a security clearance check.
