From the airport you can get into the district by the Airport Express Subway to Dongzhimen Station and then change to line 2 in either direction.
From Beijing Railway Station you can get into the district by a short subway ride on line 2. From Beijing West Station a few kilometers southwest of Xicheng you will have to take a bus a taxi into the district.
Xicheng is well served by subway lines.
Line 2
borders the district to the north and south and runs north-south through the western part of the district. This is the line for Xizhimen and Houhai and also the connection from Beijing Railway Station and Qianmen in the south and the Drum and Bell Tower area in the north, both in Dongcheng.Line 4
runs north-south through the eastern part of the district and turns west in the northern part. This is the line for Xidan, Xizhimen and Beijing Zoo.Line 1
runs east-west through the southern part of the district. This is the line for Xidan and also the connection from the far eastern and far western parts of Beijing.
