Getting online in Rattanakosin is not an easy task. There are not a lot of Wi-Fi hotspots or Internet cafés, but as Khao San Road is nearby, you might just want to go online there. The canteen of Thammasat University has an open Wi-Fi signal, but connection quality varies. Niras Bankoc Cultural Hostel is a nice place for sipping coffee, and also has free Wi-Fi available for customers.
If you want to send postcards, there is a post office close to the Grand Palace in the middle of Na Phra Lan Road.
