Olkhon Russian: Ольхо́н ahl'-KHOHN is is by far the largest island in Lake Baikal, and one of the real jewels of Siberia. With it's amazing — and amazingly diverse — landscape, and a vibrant culture even the Soviet's couldn't quite suppress — this island practically begs for a spot on your Siberian itinerary.
