The most striking feature of North Ossetia is, of course, the mountains. Tse and Fiagdon in particular. However, all non-Russian citizens are forbid to travel outside of Vladikavkaz, Beslan, Alagir and Ardon by government regulations, which means if you are not Russian you can not go to the mountains. If found there by local authorities you may be subject to a fine and/or deportation.
