The tradition of winegrowing in Pukanec is hundreds years old. There are delicious white wines from varieties Feteascá Regalá, Műller Thurgau, Riesling, White Pinot, Gruner Veltliner and red wines from Gamay or Saint Laurent.
Wine cellars called ľochy were sunk by the local and German miners more than a hundred years ago. They are either one or two storey rooms of different size and depth. The biggest cellars are more than 20m long and 3m high, in some cases with side corridors. Nice place to drink some local wine with best view on the country side...
