(http://www.horsellcommon....) the most popular local walking destination. most people choose to park in one of the car parks along shore road, about 1 mile north of town, and walk through the heathland. a footpath passes the rear of the attractive modern mclaren complex, up to fairoaks aerodrome. the car park next to monument bridge on monument road adjoins the muslim burial ground as well as bronze age barrows.
