The local open-air yuppie mall. has a number of restaurants, as well as a barnes & noble and an arthouse multiplex. camera 7 move multiplex the coffee society is the stage for a cast of musically inclined chain-smoking bohemians, laptop-toting grad students, fast-talking dot-com biz nerds, and other colorful locals.

Fry's Electronics
600 E Hamilton Ave

At hamilton ave. and ca-17. locally famous electronics superstore. customer service number ten, product variety number one. looks like an aztec temple, complete with a ramp where the sacrifices...er, shopping carts line up. check the back of the mercury news front section for specials.

Rasputin Records

An excellent record shop featuring hard to find new and used cds, dvds, clothing, etc. if for some reason you can't find it there, try streetlight records up bascom avenue to the north. the tower records to the south went out of business as did the chain of stores as of january 1, 2007, and the building currently remains empty.
