Map is a 63 mile scenic drive and hike along the sheyenne river valley, that stretches from baldhill dam to lisbon. the trail follows historic native american foot paths and pioneer wagon trails. the byway is available for snowmobiling, cross-country or downhill skiing in the winter and fishing, hiking, biking or canoeing in the spring, summer and fall. the "fall color drive" along the route is considered one of the most spectacular autumnal shows.
