Myrtle Point's Logging Museum (http://www.museumsusa.org...) is one of the main attractions the town has to offer. People come from all over to visit the museum. It is full of all kinds of equipment and artifacts that were used in the old days of logging. The other main attraction in Myrtle Point is the annually held Coos County Fair and Rodeo (http://www.co.coos.or.us/...). People come from all over the region to visit the many things that the fair has to offer including the youth livestock auction, numerous games and rides for kids, the downtown parade, and most of all the Rodeo which offers a real country feel. One other spotlight of the city is the amount of Myrtlewood groves that surround the city. Some of the largest Myrtle trees can be viewed from within the city limits. A walking tree tour is available that highlights the wide variety of trees that grow in the area.
